Wisconsin is finally getting something every coach dreams about in the heart of conference play: a fully healthy roster.
Heading into Saturday’s matchup against Rutgers at the Kohl Center, the Badgers have no players listed on the injury report. That’s a significant development for a team that’s had to shuffle lineups and minutes for much of the season. Forward Austin Rapp, who had been sidelined for several games, is officially back in action and cleared to play.
This couldn’t come at a better time. Wisconsin has been heating up, stringing together wins over UCLA, second-ranked Michigan, and Minnesota.
That kind of momentum doesn’t happen by accident. It’s been fueled by sharp shooting and a renewed edge on the defensive end-two areas that have clearly benefited from more consistency in the rotation.
Guards John Blackwell and Braeden Carrington, along with forwards Nolan Winter and Rapp, have all missed time this season. But with everyone now available, the Badgers are in a position to keep building on their recent success. A full-strength roster doesn’t just mean more talent on the floor-it means better chemistry, more rhythm, and the ability to throw different looks at opponents on both ends.
As the Big Ten grind continues, Wisconsin’s depth and health could be the difference between merely surviving the schedule and making a real push toward the top of the standings. Saturday’s game against Rutgers will be another test-but for the first time in a while, the Badgers are bringing their full arsenal.
