Wisconsin edge commit Isaac Miller helped Catholic Memorial keep rolling Thursday night, and he did it with a stat line that showed up all over the field.
The Crusaders hammered Sun Prairie West, 55-7, at Ashley Field in Sun Prairie to move to 2-0, with Miller helping set the tone early. The three-star edge commit finished with 5.5 tackles, 1.5 sacks and a pass breakup, and he also came close to blocking two punts.
Afterward, Miller said the performance had its share of good and bad moments, but the overall result was strong.
"It was solid overall. We played really well as a team, had some ups and downs, and had some flags. But overall, I think we played really well for this game," Miller told Badger247 postgame.
Miller has been a vocal leader in Wisconsin’s 2027 class and is part of a three-man edge group for Matt Mitchell and the Badgers. He said he came into his senior year wanting to show more of the full package in his game, not just his work off the edge.
"Yeah, I really just want to excel, coming off the edge, D-line. I really want to play my position, and keep getting stronger, faster, and everything, you know, getting ready for the next level," Miller said.
The Badgers commit also said he plans to make it to all of Wisconsin’s home games this fall, and he expects to be at the Notre Dame matchup next week, too.
Thursday’s win also gave Catholic Memorial another boost with Dustin Roach back in the mix. The Wisconsin commit returned from injury and played limited snaps, something Miller was happy to see.
"It was also really good to get out here with Dusty, even though he didn't play too many snaps. I mean, it was really good and excited to see what he can do next week," Miller noted.
Miller also said he is eager to watch Wisconsin this season.
"I'm excited to see what they (Wisconsin) can do on the offensive side, defensive side. I'm going to be there for the first game, and we're gonna see what they can do."
Catholic Memorial now turns to a big home matchup with Arrowhead next week.
