The Wisconsin Badgers are gearing up to welcome a promising recruit from Texas, Jeron Allen II, for an Official Visit later this year. This three-star edge rusher from Cedar Hill is catching the attention of the Badgers' recruiting team, particularly outside linebackers coach Matt Mitchell, who has been in regular contact with Allen. The visit will allow Allen to experience firsthand what makes the Wisconsin program unique.
Allen received his scholarship offer from Wisconsin on January 23rd, marking the Badgers as one of the latest teams to express serious interest in him. He’s set to visit Wisconsin on the weekend of June 12th, and as of now, it’s his only scheduled Official Visit. However, with several other programs reaching out, this could change soon.
Ranked 930th nationally in the 2027 recruiting class and 81st among edge rushers, Allen is also the 113th ranked recruit in Texas. Despite the competitive field, he’s garnered attention from schools like Auburn, Virginia Tech, Jacksonville State, and Texas State.
In a conversation with Evan Flood of On3, Allen mentioned that Kansas State, Mississippi State, and Wisconsin are currently his top choices. While Wisconsin is the only school with a confirmed visit, Kansas State and Mississippi State are likely to secure dates soon.
Allen appreciates the rich history of the Badgers’ program, which plays a significant role in his interest. For Wisconsin, securing Allen would be a strategic win, as his high-energy play style aligns well with their defensive scheme. The challenge now lies in whether the Badgers can convert this visit into a firm commitment.
