The Wisconsin Badgers football program might have hit a few bumps recently, but they're still very much in the hunt for some top-tier talent from the class of 2027. One name that stands out is three-star offensive lineman Reed Gerken. According to reports, Gerken is getting closer to making his college decision, with a packed schedule of 10 campus visits coming up.
Notably, Gerken hasn't yet set dates for his trips to Ohio State and Illinois. However, Wisconsin seems to have an edge, as they're hosting his first visit of the summer. This gives the Badgers a golden opportunity to make a strong impression right out of the gate.
Standing at an impressive 6-foot-5 and weighing in at 290 pounds, Gerken is an offensive tackle with a lot to offer. His visit to Madison is slated for March 20.
After that, he'll have some time to reflect on his experience with the Badgers before heading to Michigan State on the 28th. He wraps up March with a visit to Tennessee on the 30th, and then it's a whirlwind of trips in April, including stops at North Carolina, NC State, Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, and Kentucky-all within a week.
Wisconsin has already secured a commitment from another three-star offensive tackle, Ethan McIntosh, who hails from in-state. Adding Gerken to the mix could bolster their offensive line prospects for the future, setting the stage for a promising rebuild.
