With a slew of new faces at cornerback, it's easy to overlook the returners. However, defensive coordinator Mike Tressel has highlighted the consistency and growth of Scott from his first to second year.
"I think the biggest thing is he truly believes, ‘hey, it’s his time now,’” Tressel remarked about Scott. This newfound confidence is crucial, as Scott brings the physical tools and smarts needed to compete at a high level.
Standing at 6’1 and weighing 192 pounds, Scott is set to compete for a spot in the two-deep this season. The cornerback room is now much deeper compared to 2025, when true freshmen had to step up quickly.
Wisconsin's offseason additions include transfers Javan Robinson from Arizona State, Cai Bates from Florida State, Bryce West from Ohio State, and Eric Fletcher from Oklahoma State. They've also brought in freshmen Carsen Eloms and Donovan Dunmore.
Returning from the 2025 season at cornerback are Skanes, Scott, and redshirt freshman Jahmare Washington. This blend of experienced returners and new talent sets up an intriguing battle for playing time and promises to elevate the Badgers' defensive performance in the upcoming season.
