The Badgers completely reshaped that room in the offseason. That overhaul comes with a clear expectation: the Badgers need much more production through the air with Colton Joseph at quarterback. Last season, Wisconsin didn’t have a player reach 400 receiving yards, and Brooks - the top returning receiver - finished with just 11 catches for 124 yards in 2026.
Brooks looks positioned to open as a starter in 2026, while Tyrell Henry saw plenty of work in the slot during spring ball. Still, the depth chart behind them is wide open heading into fall camp, which is why the receiver battle stands out as one of the most important storylines on the roster.
That uncertainty is also what makes the fan question so interesting: who will lead the Badgers in receiving yards next season? The options being floated are Chris Brooks Jr., Eugene Hilton, Jaylon Domingeaux, or someone else entirely.
