Stanford, Calif. (March 28, 2026) - Washington State's golf team wrapped up their final round at The Goodwin with some standout performances, particularly from senior and sophomore Garrett Harrison, both carding a 1-over-par 71 on the challenging par-70, 6,742-yard Stanford Golf Course.
The Cougars collectively posted an 8-over, 278, concluding the 54-hole tournament at 6-over, 846, securing a tie for 10th place. This marks the second consecutive tournament where WSU outperformed six teams ranked in the national top 50.
Host Stanford showcased impressive skill, overcoming a one-stroke deficit to shoot a 6-under, 274, finishing at 17-under, 823. They edged out UCLA by four strokes and New Mexico by seven.
Renner was a model of consistency, starting each round with a birdie. His final round included two more birdies, a double bogey, and two bogeys, turning at 1-over.
He maintained composure with seven straight pars on the back nine, finishing with a birdie and a bogey for a 1-over, 71. Renner's overall performance, a 5-under, 205, earned him a tie for 8th place, marking his second Top-10 finish in as many tournaments.
Harrison's steady play featured a birdie on each side, going 36-35 to end the day at 1-over, 71. He completed the tournament at 4-over, 214, tying for 59th overall.
Sophomore Dylan Burcham had a rocky start, sitting 4-over after four holes, but he rallied with two birdies on the front nine and two more on the back, finishing with a 3-over, 73. His even-par, 210, placed him tied for 29th overall.
Freshman Dylan Boenning struggled early, going 4-over on the front nine, but found his rhythm on the back, shooting 1-under to end at 3-over, 73. He completed the tournament at 8-over, 218, tying for 88th.
Redshirt-junior Ben Borgida faced challenges throughout his round, managing only one birdie and finishing the day at 6-over, 76. He ended the tournament at 13-over, 223, tied for 125th.
Next up, the Cougars head to the El Macero Classic in Davis, Calif., from April 10-12, where they'll aim to build on their recent successes.
