In an electrifying start to the 2026 Mountain West Conference Championships in Houston, Washington State Swimming made a splash by clinching victories in three of the five events on day one. The Cougars, led by standout performances, have set the tone for the competition, topping the 11-team field.

Sophomore sensation Darcy Revitt was the star of the morning prelims, smashing her own 50 free school and pool records with a blazing 21.83. Senior All-American Emily Lundgren also shone brightly, capturing the 200 IM title. Her winning time of 1:57.94 marked her second straight victory in the event, reinforcing her dominance. Lundgren's leadership extends beyond individual events; she anchored the 400 medley relay team to victory alongside Anna Rauchholz, Ashlyn Hernandez, and Revitt, setting a new school record with a time of 3:32.64.
