Washington State women’s volleyball is taking its first road trip of the season after a clean opening weekend, and the Cougars will do it in Eugene, Ore. with two matches in two days.
WSU opens the trip Saturday against LIU at 4 p.m. in a neutral-site match, then turns around to face Oregon on Sunday at 12 p.m. noon. Sunday’s match will air live on the Big Ten Network. Saturday won’t be streamed, but live stats will be available through StatBroadcast.
The Cougars arrive with momentum after going 3-0 last weekend, sweeping Omaha and Central Michigan while also taking down Montana in four sets. That start followed a 17-11 finish in Head Coach Korey Schroeder’s second season leading the program.
Washington State’s roster looks noticeably different this fall. The Cougars bring back six players from the 2025 team, while adding 10 incoming transfers and one true freshman. Overall, 11 of Wazzu’s 17 players are new to the program, and the six returners are all in just their second season with the team.
Saturday’s meeting with LIU will be the first all-time between the programs. Oregon, though, is an opponent Washington State knows well. The Cougars lead that series 39-35, and Sunday will be the 75th matchup between the two schools.
Bohler Gym remains part of the backdrop to Washington State’s program identity, too. The Cougars’ home court has produced a .637 winning percentage since 1991 and a .580 mark dating back to the team’s first varsity season in 1976.
