Record-breaking performances and historic honors define a memorable NCAA Championships for Washington State swimmers.

In Atlanta, the 2026 NCAA Championships showcased some impressive performances from Washington State's swimming team. Senior standout Emily Lundgren and sophomore sensation Darcy Revitt made waves on day three of the competition.

Emily Lundgren, hailing from Chula Vista, California, added another feather to her cap by earning second-team All-America honors in the 200 Breast with a time of 2:08.13, finishing 15th in the prelims. Lundgren wraps up her Cougar career as the most decorated swimmer in the program's history.

Her accolades include being the only four-time NCAA selection, securing 59 individual victories, and holding school records in the 100 Breast (58.83), 200 Breast (2:06.18), 100 Fly (52.60), and 200 IM (1:57.81). Last year, she set a program milestone by finishing sixth in the 200 Breast at the NCAA Championships.

Meanwhile, sophomore Darcy Revitt from Guildford, England, shattered her own school record in the 50 Free prelims with a swift 21.81, placing her 22nd nationally. Revitt is no stranger to the NCAA Championships, making her second consecutive appearance after a stellar performance at the Mountain West Championships, where she dominated the 50 Free and 100 Free events. Her efforts earned her the Co-Swimmer of the Meet title, thanks to her contributions to six titles, including relay events.

Revitt, who now holds school records in the 50 Free (21.83) and 100 Free (47.45), has been a force this season, tallying 20 individual wins. As she prepares to compete in the 100 Free on Saturday, her journey continues to be one to watch.

Both Lundgren and Revitt have demonstrated exceptional talent and determination, leaving a lasting legacy for Washington State swimming. Their achievements at the NCAA Championships are a testament to their hard work and dedication to the sport.
