The Cougars, now boasting an 8-6 record, demonstrated their prowess with standout performances from Yura Nakagawa and Ava-Monet Sycamore, who both secured victories in singles and doubles.
The action kicked off with doubles, where the Cougars dominated across the board. The No. 3 duo, Zali Morris and Yura Nakagawa, set the tone with a decisive 6-1 victory over Leandra Nizetic and Maria Lopez Gomez.
Not to be outdone, the No. 2 team of Eva Alvarez Sande and Ava-Monet Sycamore clinched the doubles point with another 6-1 win against Anait Arutiunian and Sara Vasic. The top pairing of Maxine Murphy and Chisato Kanemaki wrapped up the sweep with a 6-4 triumph over Olivia Marais and Zoe Pradel.
Singles play saw the Cougars continue their dominance. Yura Nakagawa was first off the court, dispatching Veronika Gayevyk in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2.
Martina Puvill followed with a solid 6-2, 6-2 win, showcasing her consistency and skill. Ava-Monet Sycamore then sealed the overall victory for Washington State with a hard-fought 6-2, 6-3 win against Aneliss Zamfirescu.
With the team victory secured, Washington State chose to default the No. 5 singles match, which was tied at 6-0, 2-6, 1-1, allowing their focus to shift to upcoming challenges.
