Washington has its roster set for the 2026-27 season, and the final piece comes from a familiar conference opponent.
The Huskies added former Rutgers guard Harun Zrno through the transfer portal, giving Danny Sprinkle’s team its 15th and final player for next season. Zrno spent his freshman year with the Scarlet Knights, one of Washington’s Big Ten rivals, before entering the portal when it opened.
The 6-foot-7, 220-pound guard is the fifth transfer addition for Washington this offseason. The Huskies previously brought in guards Ryan Beasley from San Francisco and Parker Friedrichsen from Davidson, along with forwards Steele Venters from Gonzaga and LeJuan Watts from Texas Tech.
Zrno also deepens a roster that already has a strong international flavor. He becomes the fifth player on next season’s team with international roots, joining Tristan Devers from Australia, Wini Braga from Brazil, Boris Tisma from Croatia and Nikola Dzepina from Serbia. Dzepina arrived on campus last year during the winter quarter.
Sprinkle was reported this past week to be in Slovenia for the FIBA U20 EuroBasket tournament, where Dzepina was one of the top performers. Serbia finished second in the event, while Slovenia beat Serbia 84-65 in the championship game. Sprinkle also traveled overseas to watch 6-foot-6 Slovenian combo guard Urban Kroflic, a player Washington had been linked to for months.
Kroflic injured his hamstring in Slovenia’s semifinal against France and missed the title game. He was named one of the five players to the all-tournament team along with Dzepina. Whether because of the injury or interest from other programs, including Iowa and Rutgers, Washington’s pursuit of Kroflic appeared to come up short.
Zrno brings a similar frame to Kroflic, though Kroflic is described as the better passer.
In his only college season at Rutgers, Zrno averaged 6.5 points in 34 games, including 15 starts. He shot 35.6% from the field and 33.8% from 3-point range, while also averaging 1.6 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 0.5 assists per contest.

Forwards: Nikola Dzepina, Mady Traore, Steele Venters, LeJuan Watts, Boris Tisma, Wini Braga, Jasir Rencher, Lattimore Ford
