The Washington Huskies are making waves on the recruiting trail, building on their momentum from last season. With seven commitments already secured, they boast the ninth-best recruiting class nationwide according to 247Sports. And there's potential for that ranking to climb even higher in the weeks ahead.
A key development is the upcoming visit of four-star Class of 2027 quarterback Blake Roskopf, who will be in Seattle for Washington's junior day from March 7-8. Roskopf, a towering presence at 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds, shares the field at Desert Edge High School in Goodyear, Arizona, with current Huskies commit, four-star wide receiver Zerek Sidney.
Roskopf is turning heads as the 203rd-best player in the country and the 11th-ranked quarterback, not to mention the second-best player in Arizona, per 247Sports. His scouting report highlights his rapid rise, arm talent, and impressive pocket presence, despite being a pure pocket passer. His skills have attracted offers from powerhouse programs like Georgia, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Tennessee, among others.
While the Huskies have yet to secure a quarterback commitment for the '27 class, they're in the mix for several top prospects. Four-star quarterback Sione Kaho from Tacoma, Washington, has Washington on his shortlist. Additionally, the Huskies have extended an offer to four-star quarterback Peter Bourque, who recently reopened his recruitment after decommitting from Michigan.
Washington is also vying for commitments from four-star edge rusher Zane Rowe, four-star safety Gavin Williams, and four-star cornerback Josiah Molden. Landing a quarterback would mark the third offensive commitment and the first non-wide receiver for the Huskies.
As of now, Washington's seven commitments include Sidney, three-star wide receiver Braylon Pope, versatile three-star cornerback/athlete Maurice Williams, three-star linebackers Ethan and Justin Coach, Titus Osterman, and three-star defensive lineman Matamatagi Uiagalelei.
The Huskies are chasing the top eight teams in the recruiting rankings: Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Louisville, Texas, Nebraska, and Georgia. With their 2026 class ranking 12th-the highest in program history-Washington is poised to surpass that milestone if they maintain their current trajectory.
