Several top draft prospects are set to showcase their skills for the University of Washington, including standout running back Jonah Coleman and wide receiver Denzel Boston.
The Huskies wrapped up the 2025 season with a solid 9-4 record, capping it off with a victory in the Los Angeles Bowl. While they didn’t quite make it back to the College Football Playoff, the future looks bright as they move past the offseason drama involving Demond Williams Jr. and the transfer portal.
But before fully embracing what's next, the Huskies are offering one last glimpse of their past stars during the annual Pro Day on campus. This is a prime opportunity for NFL scouts to evaluate Washington’s draft-eligible talent, notably Coleman and Boston. Coleman, a senior, has completed his college career, while Boston opted to enter the draft early, foregoing his senior year.
Jonah Coleman: A Closer Look
Coleman has been a force on the field, splitting his college career between Arizona and Washington. Over 50 games, he racked up over 3,000 rushing yards (3,054) and found the end zone 34 times.
His 15 rushing touchdowns last year were instrumental in Washington's successful season. Adding versatility, Coleman also snagged two receiving touchdowns, leading the Big Ten with 17 total scores.
His receiving game saw significant improvement, with a career-high 31 catches. At the NFL Combine, Coleman impressed with his insights on pass blocking, emphasizing its critical role in protecting high-value quarterbacks. "You’re not going to play if you can’t pass pro," Coleman stated, highlighting his commitment to protecting the quarterback as a key part of his game.
Coleman played a pivotal role in Washington's transition from the Pac-12 to the Big Ten in 2024, following head coach Jedd Fisch from Arizona.
Spotlight on Denzel Boston
Boston's time at Washington was marked by consistency and playmaking ability. In his four seasons (2022-25), he played 43 games, amassing 132 catches for 1,781 yards and 20 touchdowns, averaging 13.5 yards per reception.
A dynamic presence in the Huskies' offense, Boston recorded 63 and 62 receptions in the last two seasons, respectively. His 11 touchdowns in 2025 earned him Third-Team All-Big Ten honors. At the NFL Combine, he showcased his skills in the "gauntlet" drill, catching passes with precision.
As Pro Day unfolds, both Coleman and Boston have the chance to elevate their draft stock, offering NFL teams a closer look at what they bring to the table.
