Moll Twins Stun Seattle by Winning Women's Sports Star of the Year

Dynamic duo Amanda and Hana Moll make history as they're honored as Seattle's top women athletes, rounding off a record-breaking year.

At the 91st annual Seattle Sports Star of the Year awards, held at the Seattle Convention Center, the spotlight shone brightly on Husky junior pole vaulters Amanda and Hana Moll. These dynamic twins were named the 2025 Women's Sports Stars of the Year, a testament to their incredible achievements in the world of track and field.

Amanda Moll was present to receive the accolade, handed to her by former Husky volleyball standout Christal (Morrison) Engle, who herself was a Seattle Sports Star winner back in 2005. Meanwhile, Hana was gearing up to compete for the NCAA Indoor title in Arkansas, underscoring the twins' relentless pursuit of excellence.

Breaking a decade-plus streak, the Moll twins are the first track athletes to claim this award since Jessica Pixler did so in 2010. Their dominance in the collegiate pole vault circuit in 2025 was nothing short of spectacular, with the sisters setting an impressive seven NCAA Records between them.

Amanda clinched the 2025 NCAA Indoor title, with Hana right behind her in second place. The roles reversed outdoors, with Hana taking the top spot and Amanda finishing third.

Their accolades didn't stop there. Amanda was honored as the USTFCCCA National Indoor Women's Field Athlete of the Year, while Hana took home the same award for the outdoor season.

At the 2025 USA Championships, the twins continued to impress, with Amanda finishing third and Hana fourth, both earning spots on Team USA for the World Championships in Tokyo. There, they fittingly tied for sixth place, showcasing their synchronicity and skill on the world stage.

In 2026, Hana set a world-leading clearance of 16 feet at the UW Invitational in January, a milestone that highlights the twins' extraordinary talent. They remain the only collegiate women's vaulters to clear this height, setting a new benchmark in the sport. The Moll twins are not just competing; they're redefining what's possible in collegiate pole vaulting.
