Jeremy Adeyanju Eyes Washington After Big Offer Shakes Up His Spring Plans

A fast-rising 2027 prospect opens up about his latest Pac-12 offer and whats next on his spring recruiting tour.

Jeremy Adeyanju is starting to make some real noise out West. The 2027 running back out of Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Glendale, Arizona, is quickly becoming one of the more intriguing names in his class, and now he’s got another big-time offer to add to the list.

Washington running backs coach Scottie Graham stopped by the school earlier this week and extended an offer to the talented junior. And for Adeyanju, this one hit a little different.

“Coach Graham came by the school and we talked for a while, and he offered me,” Adeyanju said. “It is special to get an offer from him.”

That excitement isn’t just about the offer itself - it’s about what Washington represents. Adeyanju’s been paying attention to what the Huskies have been building, especially in the backfield. He mentioned Jonah Coleman by name - a sign that he’s watching closely, not just the wins and highlights, but how the program develops its players.

“I’ve followed [Washington] for a minute for sure,” he said. “I’ve seen what they do and how they play ball. Guys like Jonah Coleman and how they succeeded there definitely makes me like what they are about.”

That’s the kind of insight you want to hear from a young back with high-level potential. He’s not just collecting offers - he’s evaluating fit, development, and long-term opportunity. And Washington, fresh off a run of strong backfield production, checks a lot of boxes.

Now, Adeyanju is working on plans to get up to Montlake for a visit this spring. That will be a key next step in the process. Seeing the facilities, meeting the staff in person, and getting a feel for the program’s culture can go a long way in shaping a recruit’s decision.

For now, Washington’s in a good spot. They’ve identified a rising talent early, made a strong impression, and have a real shot to deepen the relationship. Adeyanju’s offer list is only going to grow from here, but the Huskies have positioned themselves well with one of Arizona’s top junior backs.
