Huskies Impress Top 2027 WR Tre Moore Ahead Of Key Visit

One of the nations top wide receiver prospects is giving Montlake a closer look-and hes got compelling reasons for doing so.

Four-star wide receiver Tre Moore out of Pflugerville, Texas, has been firmly on Washington’s radar for over a year now-and it’s clear the interest runs both ways. The Huskies have made him a priority in their 2027 recruiting class, and Moore just locked in his official visit to Seattle for June 19-21.

Moore already got a taste of Montlake last season when he visited for the Illinois game, and the experience left a mark.

“I had a great time,” Moore said. “The weather was great and the fans were really great. They turn out for the team.”

That kind of atmosphere matters to a player like Moore-someone who’s not just looking for a place to play, but a program that feels like home. And from his perspective, Washington is checking a lot of those boxes.

“A big reason why [Washington] is high on my list is because of the people there,” Moore said. “I figure that the people in the program are what really sets the tone and makes it special, and they definitely have a bunch of incredible people there.”

That last part shouldn’t be overlooked. In an era where NIL deals and flashy facilities dominate headlines, Moore’s comments speak to something deeper-culture. Washington’s staff has clearly built a rapport with him that goes beyond the surface, and that’s often what separates contenders from pretenders in the recruiting game.

Moore, who brings a blend of size, speed, and polish to the wideout position, would be a big get for the Huskies. But this recruitment isn’t over yet. With other programs likely still in the mix, Washington will be looking to make a lasting impression when Moore returns to campus in June.

For now, though, the Huskies are in a strong position. And if Moore’s next trip to Seattle is anything like his last, Washington might just be inching closer to landing one of the top playmakers in the 2027 cycle.
