Washington’s 2026-27 men’s basketball non-conference slate is set, and Danny Sprinkle’s Huskies will spend plenty of time in Seattle before the Big Ten grind begins.
Out of 11 regular-season non-conference games, seven will be played at home. Washington will also stage one exhibition at Alaska Airlines Arena, giving Husky fans an early look at the new team before the real games start.
The Huskies open with an exhibition against Washington State on Oct. 25, then begin the season a week later against Colgate at Hec Edmundson Pavilion. From there, the schedule mixes home dates, a road trip to Salt Lake City and a trip to Maui.
Washington’s first regular-season home game comes Nov. 9 against Mississippi Valley State in Seattle. The Huskies then leave town for the first time, facing Utah on Nov. 14.
After that, UW returns home for a Nov. 19 Thursday game against Utah Tech at Alaska Airlines Arena before heading to Hawaii for the 2026 Southwest Maui Invitational, held Nov. 23-25 at Lahaina Civic Center. Washington opens that event against BYU.
Ticket-only packages for the tournament are already available, and tickets purchased through Washington will be assigned in Tyee Club priority order.
Back in Seattle, the Huskies close out non-conference play with four more home games. Norfolk State visits on Nov. 29, followed by Southern Utah on Dec. 8.
One of the bigger dates on the calendar comes Dec. 19, when Baylor makes the trip to Seattle as part of the inaugural Seattle Holiday Classic. That event also includes the Seattle U vs. Washington State game, and tickets are on sale now.
Washington finishes the non-conference portion of the schedule at home against Cornell on Monday, Dec. 28.
Game times for the non-conference slate, along with the Huskies’ Big Ten schedule, will be announced later.
Washington also outlined season-ticket benefits for 2026-27, including guaranteed seats for every home game, best per-game pricing, flexible payment plans, priority access to postseason ticket opportunities, season parking priority for eligible Tyee parking holders and invitations to exclusive team events.

A freshman edge rusher has moved himself into the middle of Washingtons preseason conversation, and not just because he arrived with a four-star pedigree. Washington Faces A Brutal 2026 Test Against Elite Defenses
Washingtons 2026 schedule already looks like a grind, and the hardest part may be how many of the opponents on it are built to make life miserable on that side of the ball. Iowa is the clearest example, the kind of program that has spent years leaning on a defense that is steady, physical and rarely gives away anything cheap, even as the Hawkeyes prepare for some turnover up front.
Penn State adds another demanding layer to the slate because its defense figures to be a work in progress with a new staff in place. With Matt Campbell taking over and DAnton Lynn helping shape the unit after James Franklins dismissal, the Nittany Lions could look different by the time Washington sees them, but the challenge remains the same: the Huskies are staring at a season with very little margin for error against elite defensive groups. Washington Now Knows Which Apple Cup Quarterback It Will See Again
Washingtons first look at the revamped Apple Cup picture now has a little more clarity, with Washington State settling on Caden Pinnick as the quarterback the Huskies will face on Sept. 6. Pinnick arrives after a strong season at UC Davis, where he established himself as a productive passer and gives the Cougars a fresh look at the position heading into one of the states biggest games.
The Huskies have seen Pinnick before, back in 2023, when the matchup went decisively in their favor. Even so, a new quarterback on the other side adds an extra layer to a rivalry that rarely needs much help, and Washington can now start preparing for a familiar opponent who comes with a very different rsum this time around.
