Jayden Daniels keeps stacking wins off the field, too.
The Washington Commanders quarterback has landed a major endorsement deal with Gatorade, adding his name to a roster of athletes that includes Josh Allen, Caitlyn Clark, Jayson Tatum, and others. Daniels becomes the first NFL player to join Gatorade’s athletics team since 2024, a stretch that makes him the company’s first new football addition in two years.
For Daniels, the move comes on the heels of a rapid rise in the league. He won the Heisman Trophy in 2023, then went on to beat out expectations as a pro. While Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams was the No. 1 overall pick in that draft class, Daniels has already built a stronger NFL résumé, winning Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2024 and earning a Pro Bowl selection as a rookie.
Daniels said the partnership carries a personal meaning.
"Growing up, I used to watch the iconic Gatorade commercials and think to myself, 'One day, that will be me'-and now it's happening, which is crazy," Daniels said. "From offseason workouts to in-season practice and games, Gatorade has always kept me hydrated and ready to compete at the highest level. I'm honored to represent a brand that's been part of my journey since day one."
The timing also matters for Washington. Daniels dealt with injuries in 2025, but he is expected to return healthy for the 2026 season. After a disappointing 2025 campaign, the Commanders and Daniels are aiming to get back to the level they showed in 2024, when their rookie quarterback helped push them to the NFC Championship.

Kain Medrano barely got a chance to show what he could do after Washington took the linebacker in 2025, spending his rookie year on special teams without cracking into the defense. Now he enters a different kind of conversation, because Daronte Jones new scheme is built around linebackers and could finally give the athletic young defender a real opening to matter beyond kick coverage.
Medrano still has work to do, though, with Sonny Styles, Leo Chenal, Frankie Luvu, Jordan Magee and several edge rushers all in the mix for roles in the new look defense. Even so, his offseason progress has kept him on the radar, and for a player who was easy to overlook a year ago, that alone makes him one of the more interesting names to watch as Washington sorts out its front seven.
