On paper, the fit is obvious. Diggs gives Daniels another proven target opposite Terry McLaurin, and that pairing should make life a lot tougher for opposing defenses. The passing-yardage ranking from last season tells only part of the story, though. Washington’s numbers were dragged down more by Jayden Daniels’ injuries than by a lack of talent around him. If Daniels stays upright and the Commanders deploy their pieces the right way, this offense has the look of a much more dangerous group in 2026.
Diggs may be the newest reason for optimism, but he is far from the only one. Still, his arrival stands out as one of the most significant moves Washington made, and it could end up being a major difference-maker if the team protects Daniels and puts him in position to take advantage of the weapons around him.
