The Washington Capitals are still a few weeks from getting back on the ice, but in EA Sports’ NHL 27, they’re already in the mix.
The game’s latest release comes with a fresh batch of updates, including revamped rosters and renovated arenas, and it gives fans an early look at how Washington stacks up in the new edition of the franchise.
At the top of the Capitals’ ratings list is Jakob Chychrun at 90 overall. Right behind him are Alex Ovechkin at 89 and a pair of 88s in Alex Tuch and Tom Wilson.
The next tier starts with Dylan Strome at 87. Aliaksei Protas, Jordan Kyrou, Martin Fehervary and Pierre-Luc Dubois are all listed at 86, while Rasmus Sandin checks in at 85.
Washington’s depth pieces follow in the middle of the pack: Matt Roy at 84; Justin Sourdif, Ryan Leonard and Boone Jenner at 83; Vincent Desharnais and Timothy Liljegren at 82; and Anthony Beauvillier and Jonny Brodzinski at 81.
The lower end of the roster includes Ilya Protas and Cole Hutson at 80, Justin Holl at 80, Ethen Frank at 79 and Ivan Miroshnichenko at 77.
In goal, Logan Thompson lands at 90 overall, while Charlie Lindgren is rated 80.
