Wake Forest men’s basketball is giving fans a first look at its revamped roster next week, opening practice at LJVM Coliseum on Wednesday, August 5th.
The session is set to begin at 5 p.m., with doors opening at 4:15 p.m., according to the release. Once practice wraps up, players will be available for autographs.
Fans are being directed to use the West Lobby doors next to the box office on the south side of the LJVM. Parking will be free in the Pepsi Lot, and concessions will be available at Section 102 on the upper concourse level.
The open practice comes as Wake Forest works through summer workouts with a roster that looks very different from last season. The Demon Deacons brought in 10 new players this offseason, including six transfers: Vincent Chaudhri from George Washington, Antonio Dorn from Virginia Tech, Kevair Kennedy from Merrimack, Jamari McDowell from Kansas, Ring Nyeri from Northern Colorado, Xander Pintelon from FAU and Justin Ray from Monmouth.
The rest of the incoming group includes twins Gallagher and Gavin Placide, who arrived from the high school ranks.
Lukas Bojovic will not be at the practice because he is still in Europe, but he is expected to join the team just before school starts on August 24th.
Two familiar faces are also part of the mix. Isaac Carr, who played in 26 games last season, chose to come back to Winston-Salem for his sophomore year. Vincent Ricchiuti, a walk-on for the past three seasons, has earned a scholarship heading into his fourth year with the Demon Deacons.

At ACC Kickoff, Wake Forest was already looking past the usual summer talk and into the pieces that could shape the season ahead. Head coach Jake Dickert joined Davaughn Patterson, Langston Hardy and Gio Lopez in sizing up the roster, with the conversation quickly turning to the players teammates believe are ready for bigger jobs when the games start to count.
Hardy pointed to a pair of defenders he thinks can change the feel of that side of the ball, while Lopez spent his time on the offense and the depth at receiver. The Deacons have a mix of transfers and returners in that room, and with the home opener against Akron set for Sept. 3, the question now is which of those names turns preseason praise into real production once the season gets rolling.
