The final whistle didn’t end the drama in Buffalo’s 37-34 overtime win over the Rams. What started as a wild Monday night finish spilled into a postgame confrontation, and it ended with Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson throwing a right hand at Bills star Bradley Chubb.
The exchange escalated fast. Chubb and Jackson exchanged words, then Jackson moved in, got face-to-face with Chubb, and fired the punch to the head. Teammates jumped in quickly, and the two were separated before it went any further.
A second video showed Jackson heading back toward the locker room at SoFi Stadium after the brief scuffle. Chubb tried to keep things going by moving toward Jackson, but Rams superstar Myles Garrett stepped between them and helped calm it down.
Afterward, Chubb described his side of it this way: “They always catch the second guy, so I let him swing and my teammates held me back and I just chilled.”
Jackson now faces the possibility of discipline from the league. The NFL is reviewing the incident, and Jackson was already under scrutiny after a June arrest for suspicion of felony domestic violence. He also served a two-game suspension in 2024 for violating the NFL personal conduct policy.
On the field, though, Buffalo had already secured the upper hand. Josh Allen’s late-game heroics and special teams chaos helped the Bills survive and leave with the win.
Buffalo now turns to next weekend’s matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders, while the Rams head back home for a Week 6 meeting with the Arizona Cardinals.

Wake Forest Awaits Two Crucial Injury Decisions Before Game Day
Wake Forest heads into game day with a couple of important injury situations still hanging over the roster, as wide receiver Carlos Hernandez and EDGE Langston Hardy are both listed as questionable. Hernandezs status matters because he was hurt in the middle of the Akron game, while Hardy has been working through a knee issue after being seen with a small brace on his left knee against NC State. Defensive tackle Kadear Demebele is listed as probable, but Tyler Walton and Jack Hines remain unavailable.
For a Demon Deacons team trying to manage its depth on both sides of the ball, those late-week decisions could shape how the staff approaches the matchup. Cal has its own uncertainty, with quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele and safety Kingston Lopa questionable but trending toward availability after concussions, and running back Adam Mohammed also in question after missing two games, so both sides are waiting on a few key health updates before Saturday settles in.
