Lane Kiffin’s offseason kept Ole Miss in the conversation for plenty of reasons, but on Sunday night the Rebels found a different kind of headline. Deuce Alexander put himself front and center, blazing past Louisville’s defense for two touchdown catches, and both of them covered exactly 62 yards.
That kind of burst can change a game in a hurry, and Alexander did it twice. The senior wideout first gave Ole Miss the third-quarter lead by accelerating after the catch and outrunning the Cardinals’ defenders to the end zone. Later, he did it again, this time getting behind Louisville while the ball was still in the air before sprinting down the sideline for another long score.
Alexander’s full name is Hilton Dekeith Alexander II. He was born on July 27, 2005, according to his Ole Miss athletics page, and he’s 21 years old. The Douglasville, Ga., native was a four-year letter winner at Douglas County High School, and football runs in the family: his father, Hilton, spent three seasons in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints.
Before landing at Ole Miss, Alexander spent two seasons at Wake Forest. His early college production was modest, with just two catches for 30 yards and a touchdown in 2023.
He took a step forward in 2024, finishing with 36 receptions for 400 yards and two scores. After transferring to Ole Miss in 2025, he kept climbing, putting together a 44-catch, 684-yard, two-touchdown season before this latest breakout against Louisville.
Across his first three college seasons, Alexander has totaled 82 receptions for 1,114 yards and five touchdowns, with his production and efficiency steadily rising along the way. On Sunday night, though, the numbers came with something bigger: two long touchdowns, both 62 yards, and a clear reminder of how dangerous he can be when he gets a runway.
