Virginia’s push at Varina High School is rolling right along, and the latest name to join the list is 2028 athlete Blair Morris.
The Cavaliers offered Morris this summer after he camped at UVA in June, and the Richmond native said the moment hit hard.
"An offer from UVA means the world to me," said the 2028 athlete. "To have UVA to be the first team to put there trust in me and see what I can do means the world and the first offer was a surreal feeling i'll never forget."
Virginia’s staff saw him as a safety, a fit Morris said came from his size, weight and what the coaches saw during camp.
"They offered me to play safety due to my size and weight and what the coaches saw from me," he said."My camp experience was by far the best camp I have been too. The details the coaches pay attention too, it really gets you better."
Morris’ connection to the program didn’t stop with the coaches. He said current UVA players and former Varina teammates, including Bull Richardson, along with current teammates and UVA pledges Sa Rex, have been in his ear about the Cavaliers.
"All my UVA commit teammates are most definitely chirping in my ear for sure," he said. "This Varina -UVA pipeline is most definitely strong."
Virginia isn’t alone in the mix. ECU also offered Morris this summer, and he says he plans to get out on a few visits this fall, including Liberty for a game.

Virginia Just Settled Its Biggest Offensive Question For 2026
Virginia spent much of the offseason sorting out its most important offensive question, and Beau Pribulas arrival gives the Cavaliers a clear answer heading into 2026. The quarterback brings experience, a comfort level with Virginias offensive scheme and a running threat that should matter in an ACC where many of the leagues top passers do most of their damage from the pocket. For a team trying to stabilize its offense, that combination is a useful place to start.
Pribula also enters with a body of work that suggests there is still room for more production once he settles in fully. His 2025 numbers showed both playmaking and some volatility, and he did that while appearing in only nine full games. Virginias path may also be a little more manageable than some of the quarterbacks it will be measured against, which only raises the importance of getting the most out of the position.
