Virginia Fans Get A Fresh Homecomings Storyline On Tony Elliotts Show

Join Omillio Agard and the "Voice of the Cavaliers" at Dairy Market for an engaging evening of football insights and fan interaction on the much-anticipated return of Coach's Corner.

Virginia’s weekly Coach’s Corner with Tony Elliott is back on Tuesday night, and the latest stop on the schedule comes with a Homecomings-weekend feel.

The show airs from 7-8 p.m. at Dairy Market in Charlottesville, with John Freeman, the “Voice of the Cavaliers,” hosting from the food hall at 946 Grady Ave. Fans will also get a chance to hear from student-athlete guest Omillio Agard, a third-year transfer cornerback in his first season at Virginia.

Agard arrived after spending the previous two seasons at Wisconsin. In 2025, he played in 11 games and started three. Through five games with UVA, he has the fourth-best pass coverage grade on the team, a 79.2, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF).

The show also includes the usual fan interaction elements. Ticket and merchandise giveaways are part of each broadcast, and fans can win items signed by Elliott. Questions can be submitted by mentioning @JohnFreemanUVA on X.

Virginia enters the week at 3-2 overall and 1-1 in the ACC and will host Syracuse on Saturday in the annual Homecomings game at Scott Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on ACC Network and the Virginia Sports Radio Network.

The Oct. 6 edition sits in the middle of a full Coach’s Corner schedule for 2026, which also includes appearances by Maddox Marcellus, Xavier Brown, Ethan Minter, Fisher Camac, Will Bettridge and Jekail Middlebrook. Shows are listed to air live at 7:06 p.m., with dates on the slate for Oct.

Virginias ACC Hopes Now Ride On A Brutal Remaining Stretch

Virginias 3-2 start has kept the season on the edge of real ACC relevance, but the margin for error is shrinking fast. With conference title hopes still technically alive, the Cavaliers are now staring at a schedule that leaves little room for a misstep, and the path forward looks less like a push and more like a grind through a series of must-hold games.

Syracuse appears to be the most manageable of the group, but the rest of the slate asks for more caution, especially with North Carolina and Wake Forest in the mix. The most daunting tests still loom beyond that, with Duke and Virginia Tech standing out as the kind of matchups that can turn a hopeful September into a much steeper climb by November. Virginias SMU Trip Just Got Much Bigger For The ACC Race

Virginias October trip to SMU now carries a little more spotlight, with the Atlantic Coast Conference announcing a noon kickoff for the Oct. 17 meeting that will air on The CW. The Cavaliers have already got a key ACC date at home first, hosting Syracuse for Homecoming before heading out to Dallas, and the scheduling only sharpens the stakes around a stretch that could shape their fall.

SMU has also stumbled early in conference play, which gives this matchup added weight in the league race even before the teams arrive there. With both sides trying to keep their ACC championship hopes alive, the visit to SMU suddenly looks like one of those games that can change the tone of an entire season. [Read more 🡒]

Virginia Fans Will Get To Celebrate A Cavaliers Legend This Season

Virginia fans will have a chance to celebrate one of the programs greats next fall, when the University of Virginia and the National Football Foundation bring an NFF Hall of Fame On-Campus Salute to Scott Stadium. The honor is set for the Cavaliers home game against Syracuse on Oct. 10, 2026, and it will recognize Herman Moore as part of the NFFs tradition of celebrating College Football Hall of Fame electees on their own campuses during home dates.

Moore is a 2026 NFF College Football Hall of Fame inductee, and the day will come with a permanent plaque that will remain at Virginia. It is another reminder of how deeply Moores career still resonates in Charlottesville, where his place among the schools all-time football figures continues to grow with each new honor. [Read more 🡒]
