It’s hard to miss how quickly the Marvin Harrison Jr. conversation has turned.
Not long ago, the Arizona Cardinals receiver looked like a can’t-miss superstar coming out of Ohio State. Now, the talk around him is headed in a much different direction, with his effort being questioned and his future in Arizona suddenly looking less certain. Around the league, executives are apparently wondering how much longer Harrison will stay with the Cardinals as the team works to build its culture and could look to recoup whatever value it can.
If Arizona does decide to move on from the former No. 4 overall pick, a few landing spots stand out as potential places to restart his career.
Houston is the cleanest fit on the board. Harrison already has a built-in connection there, having been the top target for CJ Stroud during Stroud’s final season at Ohio State.
A reunion would give the Texans a familiar quarterback-receiver pairing, and the timing could make sense too. Houston has been hit hard at wideout, with Nico Collins missing Week 2 because of a hamstring injury and potentially more time, Tank Dell working back from a knee injury suffered during the 2024 season, and Jayden Higgins out for the year with an ACL injury.
The Texans need receiver help, and Harrison alongside Stroud would be a logical match.
The Las Vegas Raiders also belong in the mix. They’ve already outperformed expectations early this season, and the receiver group has helped them do it.
Through the first two games in 2026, Tre Tucker, Jack Bech, and Cody White have all caught touchdown passes, and that’s been enough for Kirk Cousins while Brock Bowers has not yet impacted the lineup. Still, that’s not exactly the kind of receiver room you’d want to build around long term.
Las Vegas has the freedom to take on the risk-reward bet with Harrison, especially with Klint Kubiak calling the offense and a franchise quarterback in waiting who would love a true go-to target.
Then there’s the Indianapolis Colts, a possibility that feels both funny and fitting. Marvin Harrison Jr.’s father was a franchise legend in Indianapolis, and the idea of the son landing there would carry plenty of weight.
The Colts could use the help after Alec Pierce went down with an injury in a Week 2 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and Keenan Allen alone isn’t enough to carry the receiver room this season. Shane Steichen has already shown that his offense can bring out the best in the weapons he has, which makes Indianapolis an intriguing place for a legacy player to try to match the name on the back of his jersey.

Elliotte Friedmans latest 32 Thoughts podcast put Kirill Marchenko squarely on the radar for a few teams, and the Golden Knights are among the clubs reportedly linked to the Columbus Blue Jackets winger. The timing makes sense from Vegas perspective, too, with Marchenko in the final year of his contract and carrying the kind of offensive profile that tends to draw attention when teams start looking for help.
The competition could make things interesting, since Boston, Montreal, the Islanders, Seattle and Winnipeg were also mentioned as interested parties.
