Jack Eichel is already making a push up the Golden Knights’ October leaderboard, but he still has a little work to do before he can catch William Karlsson.
That’s the benchmark in Vegas when the calendar flips to October. The Golden Knights have a few heavy hitters on the franchise’s monthly scoring list, and Karlsson sits at the top with 67 points. Eichel, with three points from Tuesday night’s 5-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks not counting toward October because it came in September, enters Friday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks with a chance to move closer to the top.
Here’s how the Golden Knights’ biggest October point producers stack up.
Karlsson owns the top spot with 67 points in just 53 games. He’s also piled up 20 goals and a franchise-best 47 assists in the month, while firing only 122 shots on goal, which ranks sixth all-time. His 1.26 points per game in October trails only Eichel.
Eichel is next in line with 55 points in 42 games. He has scored 18 goals and added 37 assists, along with four game-winners. He is tied with Jonathan Marchessault for the most even-strength goals in October at 16, and his 1.31 points per game leads everyone on the list.
Marchessault sits third with 43 points in 62 October games. He scored 21 goals and set up 22 more, making him one of five Golden Knights to top 40 points in the month. His 21 goals are second all-time behind Karlsson, though Eichel and Mark Stone are within reach.
Shea Theodore comes next with 42 points in 76 October games, which is second-most in franchise history for games played in the month. He has 32 assists, one of only four Golden Knights to clear 30, and his 1,700-plus minutes make him the team’s October workload leader.
Reilly Smith posted 39 points in 66 October games across his two stints with Vegas. He scored 19 goals, good for fourth on the franchise list, and added three shorthanded goals, which leaves him second behind Karlsson’s four.
Chandler Stephenson rounds out the group with 25 points in only 28 October games. He scored 10 goals and had 15 assists, and his five game-winning goals in the month are the most by any Golden Knights player. Eichel and Karlsson each enter the month with four and could challenge that mark.
The full list shows how much of Vegas’ October scoring history is still concentrated among a handful of familiar names. And with Eichel heating up, the top of that leaderboard could get even tighter before the month is over.

Jack Eichel Is Chasing Something No Golden Knight Has Done
Jack Eichel wasted no time giving the Golden Knights a glimpse of what this season could look like, factoring into a 5-2 win over the Blackhawks in the opener with a goal and two assists. It was the kind of start that immediately puts his individual ceiling back in the spotlight, especially for a player who has already come close to a 100-point season without quite getting over that hump.
For Vegas, the appeal goes beyond a personal milestone. Eichels production has long been tied to how dangerous the team can be at five-on-five and on special teams, and if he stays healthy, the conversation around him gets louder fast. No player in franchise history has reached 100 points in a season yet, and Eichel is once again positioned to be the one who can change that. [Read more 🡒]
