With a commanding 6-2 victory over the Penguins, the Golden Knights showcased standout performances and milestone achievements, further establishing themselves as a formidable force this season.

The Vegas Golden Knights (30-22-14) showcased their prowess with a commanding 6-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins (32-18-15) at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday. The Knights never trailed, pulling away in the final period to secure the win.

Game Breakdown

The action kicked off with Colton Sissons netting his 100th career goal at 8:41 in the first period, thanks to a slick backhand pass from Braeden Bowman. Pavel Dorofeyev doubled the lead five minutes into the second period with a sharp shot over Arturs Silovs’ shoulder.

Although Rickard Rakell brought the Penguins within one, the Knights quickly responded. Mitch Marner executed a give-and-go with Dorofeyev, diving to score even as Silovs brought him down.

As the period wound down, Ben Kindel found the net, leaving the Penguins trailing 3-2 entering the third.

Dorofeyev continued his stellar night with a second goal early in the final frame, firing a one-timer from the high slot. Jack Eichel then extended his goal streak to three games with a precise wrist shot, pushing the Knights to a 5-2 lead.

Brayden McNabb sealed the deal with an empty-netter in the final minute. Adin Hill was solid in goal, stopping 24 shots, including all 11 in the third period.

Standout Performers

Pavel Dorofeyev was a force, scoring twice and adding an assist, setting a new career high with 54 points this season.

Jack Eichel continued his hot streak, scoring in his third consecutive game and becoming the second active American player with three seasons of 20 goals and 50 assists since 2015-16.

Mitch Marner delivered another multi-point performance, his third in five games, with three goals and five assists in that span.

Ivan Barbashev extended his assist streak to three games, contributing to Eichel’s third-period goal.
