Filip Hronek’s offseason just got a lot more memorable.
The Canucks defenseman, coming off what the team saw as its best player last season, has officially joined a busy summer wedding run in Vancouver. Brock Boeser got things started in May when his wife, Bella, shared photos from their wedding.
Marco Rossi followed in June after marrying his wife, Stefanie. Now Hronek has stepped into the spotlight with his own celebration.
Photos and videos that surfaced Monday showed Hronek and his new wife, Dominika, walking out to their wedding reception. Another clip captured Hronek greeting guests from out of town, with New York, Michigan and Minnesota all getting a shoutout. Quinn Hughes also appeared to be among the people in attendance, seated at a back table.
The wedding took place at Chateau Mcely in Czechia, about an hour’s drive northeast of Prague. Based on the embroidery in Dominika’s dress, the couple appears to have been married on Saturday, July 11.
And when the ceremony ended, the celebration looked anything but quiet. A colorful burst followed, adding a little extra flash to a day that already had plenty of it.
Hronek looked sharp for the occasion, and he was smiling plenty - a sight that wasn’t always common during the Canucks’ most recent season.
Filip and Dominika have been together for at least a decade. One of the earliest photos of them surfaced online in 2016, not long after the Detroit Red Wings drafted Hronek.
The Canucks’ list of married players keeps growing. Along with Hronek, Boeser and Rossi, Elias Pettersson got married last offseason, while Thatcher Demko is married and has two young children.
There’s still summer left for Hronek and the rest of the group, but the hockey calendar is starting to creep back into view with the release of the 2026-27 NHL regular season schedule.

Evander Kane Feels Like The Flames Debate Fans Dread Most
Evander Kane is back on the open market after a season that gave Vancouver a full look at what he still brings, and what comes with him. The veteran winger played 71 games for the Canucks last year, finishing with 13 goals and 31 points, a line that reflects both his ability to help and the uneven stretch that followed him through the season.
Now the conversation has shifted to where he lands next, with several NHL teams weighing whether his pedigree is worth the risk. For a player with his track record, the next deal may not come with the kind of security he has had before, and the possibility of a tryout or a shorter, cheaper contract only adds to the uncertainty around a name that always seems to stir debate. Canucks Fans Will Hate Part Of This Schedule And Love It Too
The Canucks newly released schedule comes with a little bit of everything for fans to sort through, starting with a season that opens in September for the first time in franchise history and stretches into the NHLs first 84-game slate in more than 30 years. There is also a built-in quirk created by British Columbias permanent move to daylight saving time, which gives Vancouver a heavier dose of late starts than usual and a calendar that should feel a little different from the jump.
For the home crowd, the most appealing part may be the return visits from familiar faces, with several former Canucks set to come back through Rogers Arena during the season. Those games always carry a little extra edge, especially when the names on the other side still mean something around here, and this schedule has enough of them to keep fans circling dates long before the puck drops.
