Canucks Just Unveiled A New Look Fans Will Definitely Debate

The Vancouver Canucks reveal their striking new "Hometown Remix" jersey, blending modern design with local culture and history.

The Vancouver Canucks have a new look in the rotation, and it’s all about deep blue.

On Monday morning, the club unveiled its “Hometown Remix” jersey, part of a league-wide rollout for all 32 NHL teams. The Canucks’ version leans into a double-blue palette and will be worn in select games this season. The jerseys were created with Fanatics, the NHL’s official on-ice uniform supplier.

The design is navy with light blue trim, paired with matte navy helmets. The front carries the team’s orca logo, while the modernized Stick-and-Rink logo shows up on the shoulder patches. Along the sleeves, there’s a new striping pattern, plus a new font for the numbers and letters.

The team said the uniform “celebrates the fans, fabric and culture of Vancouver.”

“The Canucks’ Hometown Remix jersey celebrates the city after dark, when things really light up,” the Canucks said. “It features a stealth-mode orca in deep blues with shining silver eyes.

The sleeves carry an abstract deboss of the skyline reflecting in the bay. The hem nods to the lions guarding Lions Gate Bridge, a quiet symbol of strength every time we cross.

And lastly, the custom name and number system features a V‑notch detail that feels handcrafted and hometown.”

Vancouver will wear the jersey at six home games this season, starting Nov. 13 against the New York Rangers. The other dates are Nov. 21 against the Minnesota Wild, Dec. 4 against the Buffalo Sabres, Feb. 16 against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Feb. 20 against the Colorado Avalanche, and March 3 against the Chicago Blackhawks.

“Hometown Remix” is a league-wide project, with each team getting its own take on the concept. Fanatics’ Dom Fillion called it the company’s biggest design and delivery effort with the NHL since 2024.

“Hometown Remix represents the most exciting initiative our team has designed and delivered with our partners since we hit the ice with the NHL in 2024,” said Dom Fillion, Vice President of Creative Design for Fanatics. “What makes this program so special is the collaboration with each club and together leaning into the history, culture, fabric and identity of every city and fan base to make sure these felt as authentic and personal as possible. We can’t wait to see them worn by the teams on the ice and the fans in the stands all season long.”

Canucks Unveil A New Look Built Around Vancouvers Home Identity

The Canucks have added a fresh wrinkle to their look with the unveiling of their new "Hometown Remix" jerseys, a design meant to tie the club more closely to Vancouver itself. The latest alternate was developed through the NHL and Fanatics jersey program, and team officials framed it as a collaborative effort built around the citys identity and the way it shows up in everyday life around the rink.

The new sweater carries a speckled pattern that nods to the regions wet weather, giving the jersey a distinctly local feel rather than a generic modern refresh. Vancouver has already set a date to break it out, with a full slate of appearances planned after the debut, and the first chance to see it in action will come against the Rangers on Nov. 13. Canucks Brutal Start Is Fueling Trade Buzz Around Core Forwards

A rough start has already pushed the Canucks into an uncomfortable spot, and with the season sliding the conversation around the roster is shifting fast. Vancouver is in the middle of a rebuild, but the attention now is landing on some of the clubs most established forwards, with Jake DeBrusk and Elias Pettersson drawing notice as possible trade candidates because of the way they have performed this season.

Both players have been productive enough to keep their value intact, which is exactly why they are suddenly part of the wider trade chatter. For a team trying to sort out its next step, that creates an awkward balancing act: keep core pieces that still help on the ice, or listen if another club comes calling with the kind of interest that can accelerate a rebuild.
