Bryce Harper Makes Emotional Team USA Admission

Bryce Harper shares his excitement and pride following Team USA's thrilling hockey victory over Canada, highlighting the honor of representing his country.

The Winter Olympics have wrapped up, and Team USA has left a lasting impression by clinching the gold in the men's hockey final against Canada. The victory has sparked reactions from fans and athletes alike, celebrating a monumental win on the ice.

Among those cheering for the team is Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper. Captured in a video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, by Nasty Knuckles, Harper expressed his excitement from the dugout during a spring training game against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

“Incredible. What a game.

Watched them closely the whole time, and just a lot of fun to watch. I mean, the Hughes brothers coming in the clutch for us,” Harper remarked.

“It's really, really cool watching them, and just so proud to be an American. So happy that they won and were able to take over the hockey world for at least three more years.”

Harper is no stranger to donning the Team USA jersey. He represented the United States U-18 team in 2008 and 2009.

Though he missed the 2023 World Baseball Classic due to injury rehab, he's gearing up to play for Team USA in the 2026 WBC. Reflecting on the honor of wearing the national colors, Harper shared his thoughts.

“There's nothing like it. You can try to think that there is something like it, but there's not.

Being able to wear the colors of your country and represent something so much bigger than yourself,” he said. “Especially in the game of hockey against Canada.

Canada is incredible at hockey. It's hockey nation up there, right?”

As Harper revels in the men's hockey team's Olympic triumph, he's also preparing for the upcoming season with the Phillies and his role in the 2026 World Baseball Classic. He'll don the red, white, and blue starting March 5th as the WBC gets underway.
