Terrell Brown Jr. is headed to Utah.
The guard has agreed to a contract with the Jazz, agent Daniel Hazan told NBA insider Chris Haynes. The deal terms weren’t disclosed, but it’s expected to be a non-guaranteed training camp contract with Exhibit 10 language attached.
That setup would give Brown a bonus if Utah waives him before the season starts and he then spends at least 60 days with the Salt Lake City Stars, the Jazz’s NBAGL affiliate.
Brown, 28, went undrafted in 2022 after finishing his college career at the University of Washington. The Seattle native has spent the last four seasons in the G League, including stints with the Memphis Hustle and, since the 2023 offseason, the Greensboro Swarm.
He also signed Exhibit 10 deals with the Hornets in 2023 and 2025. Last season with Greensboro, Brown averaged 11.9 points, 6.4 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 50 games, logging 25.7 minutes per contest. His shooting numbers - .404 from the field, .325 from three and .782 at the line - weren’t especially sharp, but he was part of the Swarm team that won the NBAGL championship in the spring.
Barring a surprise, Brown is expected to be waived before the season and open 2026/27 with the Stars. Once the move becomes official, Utah will have 20 players under contract, leaving the club one short of the offseason maximum. The Jazz currently have 14 players on guaranteed standard deals, Mo Bamba on a partially guaranteed contract, Harrison Ingram on an Exhibit 10 agreement, and all three two-way spots filled.

Jazz Frontcourt Depth Could Reopen A Familiar Veteran Option
Kevin Love is still sitting on the open market, even as the offseason keeps moving around him and the rumor mill has tied him to plenty of familiar names. Philadelphia has made roster moves to create room for new additions, but there has not been any reported pursuit of Love, which has only added to the sense that his market may not be especially broad at this stage.
For Utah, that opens a familiar lane worth watching, especially with frontcourt depth always a consideration as teams sort through the last available veteran options. There has been speculation about a possible reunion, though no official discussions have been confirmed, and the Jazz now have to decide whether Love still fits into their plans as the roster continues to take shape.
