The duo of Dani Borruel and Eugenia Zozaya wasted no time, delivering a flawless 6-0 victory at the No. 1 doubles spot. Not far behind, Simone Kay and Lily Fairclough clinched a 6-2 win on court three, securing the doubles point for USC. With the point in the bag, play on court two was called off, leaving the Trojans with a 1-0 lead.
USC carried that momentum into singles play, where freshman sensation Eugenia Zozaya, ranked No. 55, was unstoppable. She breezed through her match on court three with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 scoreline. Dani Borruel followed suit with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 victory at the No. 5 position.
Simone Kay sealed the team triumph with a decisive 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles, pushing USC's lead to an insurmountable 4-0. With the match already decided, the Trojans continued their winning ways across the remaining courts.
No. 35 Emma Charney added a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 2, while Lily Fairclough took a 6-2, 6-4 win at No.
