USC has made a significant splash by signing standout cornerback Elbert Hill IV, heading into the heartland of the Big Ten to secure this elite talent. Hailing from Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban, Hill is a four-star recruit and ranks as the No. 90 overall player in the 2026 class. Standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 175 pounds, Hill is part of a remarkable group of nine Top-100 players joining the Trojans' top-ranked recruiting class.

Hill's athleticism isn't confined to the gridiron; he also excelled in track and field during his high school years. From the get-go, he made his presence felt on Archbishop Hoban's football team. As a freshman in 2022, Hill showcased his versatility with 25 tackles, four interceptions, and an impressive 10 offensive touchdowns, not to mention three punt returns for scores.

His sophomore year in 2023 was nothing short of spectacular. Hill snagged seven interceptions, returning two for touchdowns, and broke up 10 passes.

On offense, he added seven more touchdowns to his resume and electrified with a 92-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. These performances earned Hill a slew of accolades, including spots on the 2023 Division 2 All-State First Team, the Ohio High School Athletic Association Division II All-Ohio First Team, the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association Division II All-Ohio First Team, the All-District Northeast Inland First Team, and SBLive Ohio's All-Star Team.
