USC has made a significant move in the 2026 recruiting class by securing four-star quarterback Jonas Williams, flipping him from Oregon. This impressive acquisition comes after Williams de-committed from Dan Lanning's Ducks, marking a win for Lincoln Riley and Chad Bowden.
Hailing from Lincoln-Way East in Frankfort, Illinois, Williams is ranked No. 106 overall and the No. 7 quarterback in his class by 247Sports. His high school career was nothing short of spectacular, setting Illinois state records with 11,347 passing yards and 147 touchdown passes.
Williams first made waves as a freshman at Bolingbrook High School in 2022, where he threw for 2,737 yards and 37 touchdowns. The following season, he improved his stats with 3,196 passing yards and 33 touchdowns, earning the title of 2023 PrepRedZone Illinois Co-Offensive Player of the Year, alongside All-State and All-Southwest Prairie Conference honors.
Transferring to Lincoln-Way East for his junior year, Williams continued his remarkable performance, leading his team to a 12-1 record. He completed 194 of 286 passes for 2,926 yards and 42 touchdowns, adding 395 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns to his stats.
His accolades included spots on the 2024 All-Conference Blue Team, Champaign News-Gazette All-State Team, and IHSFCA Class 8A All-State Team. Williams was also named the Champaign News-Gazette State of Illinois Player of the Year and the WJOL News Pigskin Preview State Farm Agent Kevin Molloy Offensive Player of the Year, capping off a perfect 9-0 regular season and leading his team to the conference championship in the newly formed Southwest Valley Conference.
Williams is set to join USC in January, bringing his winning mentality and proven production to the Trojans. As we dive into his high school highlights, it's clear that Williams is poised to make an impact in college football, and USC fans have plenty to be excited about with this talented quarterback joining their ranks.
