USC added another international piece to its frontcourt mix, signing Onyeka Joe Agu from Belgium for the upcoming season.
Agu becomes the Trojans’ 11th newcomer and the third international player on the roster, joining center Eric Reibe of Germany and forward Joshua Hughes of Australia. That combination gives head coach Eric Musselman the most international players he has had in his collegiate coaching career.
"Onyeka fits our culture of energy, effort and enthusiasm," Musselman said in the program's press release. "He is a player who will bring physicality, athleticism and competitiveness to our program. Onyeka will be a great addition to our frontcourt, providing experience, rim-finishing, rebounding and defensive impact."
The 6-foot-10 forward started his career at Dynamo Bertem in 2021, then spent two seasons with third-division team Bavi Vilvoorde. He most recently played two seasons for the Brussels Basketball club in a first-tier league in Belgium and the Netherlands, where he averaged 7.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in 18 games this season. In November, he was named BNXT Young Player of the Month after posting 10.3 points on 66.6 percent shooting, six rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game.
Agu’s commitment came a couple of hours after USC announced that Reibe had undergone foot surgery. Reibe’s recovery timetable is unknown, but Agu gives the Trojans another body in the frontcourt while Reibe is out. USC’s big-man group now also includes Hughes and freshmen Adonis and Darius Ratliff and Christian Collins.

Fall camp is giving USC a first real look at the receiver rooms next chapter, and the attention has naturally shifted to the players who could help fill the void left by departures to the NFL. Among the names drawing interest are sophomore Tanook Hines, who already has college experience, and freshman Ethan Boobie Feaster, whose arrival came with the sort of recruiting buzz that follows a highly ranked prospect into August.
Both have flashed the kind of physical tools that fit what USC wants to do on offense, which is why they are already being mentioned as possible major contributors by the 2026 season. It is still early, of course, but the encouraging part for the Trojans is that the next wave at receiver does not look like a waiting project, and camp is starting to show that the transition in that group may come faster than expected. USC is set to get a longer look at itself in a closed scrimmage at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, a useful checkpoint for Lincoln Riley as kickoff approaches. The staff is trying to sort out readiness and depth across the roster, and nowhere is that more important than up front, where the Trojans have had to keep searching for the right combination as camp rolls on.
Kaylon Miller has been among the linemen drawing attention for his progress, and the center competition has become one of the more important pieces of the preseason puzzle.
