USC Guard Jordan Marsh Makes Transfer Portal Move

USC's Jordan Marsh, a key bench contributor, eyes new opportunities as he enters the transfer portal.

In the ever-evolving world of college basketball, the transfer portal is buzzing with activity as USC experiences its first departure. Junior guard Jordan Marsh is set to transfer, marking a significant move for the Trojans.

Marsh, who joined USC from UNC Asheville in the offseason, has been a valuable asset off the bench, averaging 7.3 points, two rebounds, and 1.9 assists over 28 games. His shooting stats are solid, hitting 40 percent from the field, 35.7 percent from beyond the arc, and an impressive 77.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Marsh's journey through college basketball has been a winding road. Starting at App State, he made his way to Asheville before landing on the West Coast for his third collegiate season.

Hailing from Monroe, N.C., Marsh has shown flashes of brilliance during his time with the Trojans. Notably, he dropped a season-high 20 points in a victory over Maryland and delivered a well-rounded performance with 13 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in an overtime clash against Washington during the Big Ten tournament.

USC, under the guidance of head coach Eric Musselman, wrapped up the season with an 18-14 record, struggling in conference play with a 7-13 mark. Entering the Big Ten tournament as the No. 13 seed, the Trojans' season ended on a tough note, losing to the 12th-ranked Huskies and extending their losing streak to eight games.

Standing at 5-foot-11, Marsh is known for his ability to create scoring opportunities, whether by driving to the basket or pulling up for a jumper. However, consistency might have been a factor in his playing time. As Marsh looks for new opportunities, his departure opens a new chapter both for him and the Trojans.
