Jazzy Davidson Stuns Again with Another Major USBWA Honor

USC's Jazzy Davidson continues to dominate the court, earning her fourth USBWA National Freshman of the Week title with record-breaking performances.

In the world of college basketball, USC's Jazzy Davidson is making waves like few freshmen before her. Named the USBWA National Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season-and for the second straight week-Davidson is firmly establishing herself as a standout talent on the national stage.

Davidson's latest accolade comes on the heels of a stellar two-game stretch that showcased her versatility and skill. She put up a commanding 24 points against Wisconsin, adding five rebounds, six assists, four steals, and three blocks. Her ability to influence every aspect of the game was on full display, contributing to 37 total points for the Trojans, including 13 from her assists.

But it was her performance against No. 10 Ohio State that truly turned heads.

Davidson exploded for a career-high 32 points, including a remarkable 6-for-9 from three-point range. She also went 4-for-6 from the free-throw line, demonstrating her prowess as a sharpshooter.

Her contribution didn't stop there-she grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists, and added three steals and a block. In total, she accounted for 42 of USC's 88 points, with an additional 10 points created through her assists.

This 32-point outburst was the highest by any Trojan this season and set a new standard for Big Ten freshmen. Davidson's feat also marked the first time a USC freshman scored over 30 points since JuJu Watkins in 2024 and the first Trojan overall since Kiki Iriafen in 2025.

Davidson's consistency is just as impressive as her peak performances. She's scored in double figures for 24 consecutive games, hit the 20-point mark in five straight contests, and has 12 games with 20 or more points this season.

Her all-around dominance is evident in her season stats-she's the only Division I player leading her team in points (18.0), rebounds (6.2), assists (4.4), steals (2.0), and blocks (2.2). Davidson's impact on the court is undeniable, and her freshman year is shaping up to be one for the record books.
