USC Men's Golf Battles at Valspar Collegiate Invitational
In the heart of Palm City, Florida, the USC Men's Golf team showcased their grit at the Valspar Collegiate Invitational, a fierce battleground for collegiate golf's elite. Sophomore standout Jaden Dumdumaya led the charge for the Trojans, tying for seventh place individually and guiding the team to a 13th place finish among 16 competitive squads.

14 Oklahoma, before settling into 13th with a commendable 838 (-14). The team title was claimed by No.
10 Texas Tech, who surged past top-ranked Auburn with an impressive 807 (-45). Meanwhile, Florida State's Tyler Weaver emerged victorious in a thrilling playoff against Oklahoma's Ryder Cowan to capture medalist honors with a 198 (-15).
Dumdumaya's performance was nothing short of remarkable. Starting the final round tied for the lead, he fired three birdies on the front nine to gain a three-stroke advantage. However, the back nine proved challenging as three bogeys crept in, yet he held his ground to finish with a career-best 201 (-12).
Fellow sophomore Jack Buchanan also made his presence felt, tying for 34th with a 210 (-3). Buchanan's round was highlighted by his second eagle of the season on the par-4 No. 11, yet a mix of bogeys and double-bogeys kept him battling throughout the day.
