UConn Lands In Indy After Delay Before Final Four

After a brief flight delay, UConn's men's basketball team has arrived in Indianapolis, ready to take on Illinois in the highly anticipated Final Four showdown.

The UConn men's basketball team has officially kicked off their high-stakes weekend in Indianapolis, touching down Wednesday evening as they gear up for the Final Four showdown.

The journey began at the Werth Champions Center, where a sea of fans gathered at UConn's Storrs campus to give the Huskies a spirited send-off. Star center Tarris Reed Jr. took a moment to thank the crowd, leading a cheer and snapping a few selfies before boarding the bus. It was a moment that captured the excitement and unity of Husky Nation as they set their sights on bringing a seventh national championship banner back to Gampel Pavilion.

Despite a slight delay, with the flight from Bradley International Airport arriving in Indianapolis at 6:42 p.m. ET, the Huskies remained unfazed. This minor hiccup was nothing compared to the travel woes they faced during Dan Hurley's last Final Four trip in 2024, when mechanical issues caused an eight-hour delay, throwing off their practice and media schedules.

Meanwhile, Michigan faced their own challenges as they prepared to leave Ann Arbor. Starting point guard Elliot Cadeau experienced an allergic reaction and required medical attention. Fortunately, Michigan announced that Cadeau would join the team in Indianapolis later that day.

UConn is set to clash with Illinois in the first national semifinal of this year's Final Four. The game tips off at 6:09 p.m.

ET and will be broadcast on TBS and TruTV. Fans are eagerly anticipating what promises to be an electrifying matchup as the Huskies aim to continue their storied legacy.
