The Bruins brought in a top-50 recruiting class and also reshaped the roster through the transfer portal, so the veteran group is expected to handle most of the workload. Even so, a few young players have a real chance to get on the field sooner than expected.
Two freshmen sit at the front of that conversation: wide receiver Kenneth Moore and linebacker Malaki Soliai-Tui.

That versatility matters. If Moore proves dependable in any role during fall camp, his chances of earning snaps could rise fast. Even with portal additions at receiver, his polish and burst make him one of the freshmen with the best shot to carve out a role.
Whether that leads to a starting job by the end of the season or simply a major role on special teams, Moore has the tools to matter in this new-look UCLA offense. Fall camp may be where he starts turning that promise into a real depth-chart climb.
