Jayshon Gibson’s latest outing was the kind of stat line that makes you stop and stare: 301 rushing yards, four touchdowns on the ground, plus two catches for 66 yards and another score in Richland’s 47-29 win over Colleyville Heritage. On homecoming night, the UCLA commit piled up 367 total yards and five touchdowns. Not bad for a Friday.
That explosion pushed Gibson to 709 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns through four games, all on just 72 carries. He’s sitting at 9.8 yards per carry and averaging 177.3 rushing yards per game, a start that’s been as loud as it is relentless.

UCLA’s ground game has already been the best part of the Bruins’ offense through the first three games, and Gibson is the next piece coming into that mix. Bruins fans won’t have to wait long to see him arrive in Westwood.
