The Oregon Ducks are on a bye week after their 41-27 road win over the No. 18 USC Trojans, but the program still found a way to make noise nationally.
A teaser video posted Sunday to the @oregonfootball and @goducks social media accounts pointed toward a new uniform release during the “Generation O” era. The clip arrived shortly after Oregon’s win in Los Angeles, California, and showed flashes of glossy green and yellow “paint streaks” across a matte black jersey. The alternate Oregon duck silhouette sat in the middle of the collar, while the words “origin of speed” appeared in silver inside the neck.
That phrase and the streaked design line up neatly with the Chip Kelly era, when Oregon became known around the country for the speed of its skill players in Kelly’s spread (“blur”) offense. That run included backs LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner, along with receivers like Jeff Maehl and De’Anthony Thomas.
Oregon’s 2026 uniform reveals have already leaned on videos that revisit memorable games, so a nod to that era fits the pattern. It also comes with a little extra bite, since the reveal appears to be tied to a matchup against one of Kelly’s former teams.
The teaser ended with Tuesday, Sept. 29 flashing on a black screen, suggesting the Ducks are setting up another uniform drop to carry fans through to their Autzen Stadium game against the UCLA Bruins on Saturday, Oct. 10. The black theme for the UCLA game matches the colorway in the teaser, which makes it look likely that Wednesday’s reveal will be the uniform Oregon wears against its former Pac-12 opponent.
For some fans, though, the look may not feel entirely new. Earlier this month, after Oregon’s season-opening win over Boise State, Duck fans started pointing to a new Dick’s Sports Goods listing that showed a similar jersey labeled for sophomore wide receiver Dakorien Moore.
A search for “Oregon Ducks jersey” on the Dick’s website no longer brings up that product, which was initially listed at $200.

The reaction around the teaser has been split, with some fans already weighing in on the design leak in the replies under Oregon’s post. That kind of divide isn’t new for the Ducks, either. Their “Eggshell” speckled jerseys, released in 2021, also drew a wide range of opinions.
