Harry Nansi picked up right where he left off, and the Toronto Maple Leafs prospect wasted no time making a statement in his first game of the season.
The 19-year-old was a force for the Owen Sound Attack on Friday night in London, posting two goals and an assist in a 7-4 loss to the London Knights. One of those goals came on a heavy one-timer that showed exactly why his game goes beyond size alone. At six-foot-four and 201 pounds, Nansi has the frame to stand out, but the shot was the kind of detail that makes scouts pay attention.
It was also a notable night because it marked his first game of the year after taking part in the split-squad games during the Maple Leafs’ preseason schedule.
Nansi has been with Owen Sound since the 2023-24 season, and this is now his fourth straight year with the Attack. Toronto selected him in the fifth round, 153rd overall, in the 2025 NHL Draft.
Last season was his strongest to date. In 67 games, he put up 56 points, scoring 13 goals and adding 43 assists, which ranked third on the team. If Friday is any indication, he may be on track to push well past those totals this season.
For the Maple Leafs, Nansi is the kind of prospect who can keep climbing if he strings together nights like this. Toronto already has several players in the organization who are viewed as close to NHL-ready, but Nansi’s blend of production and size gives him a real case to be in that mix.
He still has plenty of competition ahead of him, including forwards with the Toronto Marlies. Even so, Nansi has steadily built a reputation as an underrated piece in the Leafs system, and performances like this only strengthen the idea that he’s moving in the right direction.
