Texas Tech Just Got A Big Show Of Respect In EA Sports

Texas Tech is showing up near the top of EA Sports College Football 27 before the game even hits shelves.

The Red Raiders come in at No. 11 overall in the upcoming release, backed by a 90 defense that is tied for second-best in the game and an 85 offense. EA Sports College Football 27 is scheduled to launch globally on July 9, with 7-day early access beginning July 2 for MVP+ Members and 3-day early access starting July 6 for Deluxe Edition and MVP Bundle buyers.

Texas Tech also has a long list of player ratings that puts several Red Raiders among the game’s top-tier names. Brice Pollock leads the group at 93, making him the 18th-highest rated player in the game and the No. 2 cornerback.

A.J. Holmes Jr. follows at 92 as the No. 3 defensive tackle, while Sheridan Wilson is also at 92 and ranked the No. 3 center.

Terrance Carter Jr. checks in at 92 as the game’s top-rated tight end.

A pair of linebackers sit just behind that group. Austin Romaine is rated 91 and is the No.

2 Will Backer, while Ben Roberts is also 91 as the No. 2 Mike Backer.

Howard Sampson lands at 90 as the No. 6 left tackle, and Trey White is rated 90 as the No. 6 left edge.

The rest of the Texas Tech ratings stretch across the roster, with Adam Trick and Cameron Dickey both at 88. Coy Eakin, Kenny Johnson and Mateen Ibirogba are each rated 87. J'Koby Williams and Quinten Joyner are both at 86, while Brenden Jordan and Malcolm Simmons sit at 85.
