The Big 12 has officially dropped the 2026 schedule, and for TCU fans, there's a lot to unpack - starting with a trip across the Atlantic.
The Horned Frogs will open their season in one of the most unique settings in college football: Dublin, Ireland. That’s right - on August 29, TCU will square off against North Carolina in a headline-grabbing showdown that also marks the debut of Bill Belichick as the Tar Heels’ head coach. It’s a marquee opener with international flair, and it sets the tone for what could be a pivotal season in Fort Worth.
After that overseas opener, TCU returns home for a pair of non-conference matchups that should allow them to settle in. Grambling State comes to town on September 12, followed by Arkansas State on September 19. These games offer a chance to fine-tune before the Big 12 grind begins.
Conference play kicks off on September 26 with a road test at UCF. That trip to Orlando marks the start of a stretch that could define TCU’s season.
The Frogs will host BYU on October 3, then head to Waco for a rivalry clash with Baylor on October 17. After a bye week, they’ll return to Amon G.
Carter Stadium for back-to-back home games against West Virginia (October 24) and Kansas (October 31).
November ramps things up in a big way. TCU travels to face Arizona on November 7 - a matchup that could have serious implications in the reshaped Big 12 landscape.
Then comes a home stretch that’s as tough as any in the league: Kansas State visits on November 14, followed by Utah on November 21. Both teams bring physicality and postseason aspirations, and both games should be circled on the calendar.
The regular season wraps with a heavyweight clash in Lubbock on November 28 against Texas Tech - the defending Big 12 champions and a team coming off a College Football Playoff appearance. It’s a high-stakes finale that could have title implications once again.
TCU enters 2026 riding the momentum of a 9-4 campaign that ended on a high note with three straight wins. They finished ranked No. 25 in the final AP poll - a solid rebound after a rocky 2024. Now, with a schedule that blends marquee matchups, rivalry games, and potential playoff roadblocks, the Horned Frogs have a chance to make some serious noise.
Here’s the full 2026 slate for TCU (kickoff times and TV info still to come):
- Aug. 29: vs. North Carolina (in Dublin, Ireland)
- Sept. 12: vs. Grambling State
