College GameDay Heads to Kansas City for Big 12 Championship Showdown
Basketball fans, mark your calendars! ESPN’s College GameDay is making its way to the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City for a special preview of the 2026 Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship. Set your alarms for Saturday, March 14, at noon ET on ESPN, as this marks the first time the show will broadcast from the Big 12 Tournament’s championship game.
This visit is a significant one, as it’s the first time since 2006 that College GameDay has been part of the Big 12 Tournament. It's also the show's debut at the T-Mobile Center, adding an extra layer of excitement to this year’s championship.
College GameDay is no stranger to the Big 12, with this season tying the record for the most visits to a single conference. The last time the Big 12 hosted GameDay four times in a season was back in 2018.
Now in its 22nd season, College GameDay features an all-star lineup. Hosted by the Sports Emmy Award-winning Rece Davis, the show includes basketball insights from Curt Gowdy Media Award recipient Jay Bilas, two-time conference coach of the year Seth Greenberg, and former national champion Jay Williams. Pete Thamel, known for his insider knowledge, will also contribute remotely.
The excitement kicks off on Friday with studio programming from Kansas City, featuring Davis, Williams, and Greenberg at the helm. The Big 12 Championship game itself will tip off at 6 p.m. on ESPN, with the talented trio of Dan Shulman, Jay Bilas, and reporter Kris Budden bringing you all the action.
As the season-long partnership with College GameDay reaches its thrilling conclusion in Kansas City, fans can expect a showcase that truly embodies why the Big 12 is known as "A Different League."
