27 Kentucky, securing a 4-2 win. This victory capped off a successful weekend road trip, following their triumph over No.
13 Vanderbilt.
The doubles matches set the stage for a competitive day. Texas started strong with the No. 19 duo of Sebastian Eriksson and Oliver Ojakaar notching a 6-3 win at No.
- However, the Longhorns faced setbacks at No. 1 and No. 2, narrowly missing the doubles point after a tiebreaker loss.
The singles matches, however, showcased Texas's depth and resilience. Sophomore Oliver Ojakaar dominated at No. 5, delivering a swift 6-0, 6-1 victory over No.
89 Charlelie Cosnet. Freshman Lucas Marionneau followed suit with a hard-fought 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 6, giving Texas a 2-1 lead.
Kentucky evened the score with a win at No. 2, as No. 99 Nicolas Arseneault defeated Texas's No.
19 Kalin Ivanovski in a tight 6-2, 7-6 (1) match. But Texas responded with poise.
Senior Sebastian Gorzny, ranked No. 4, edged out No. 22 Eli Stephenson 7-5, 7-5 at No. 1, while No.
43 Sebastian Eriksson clinched the match with a comeback 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 victory over Jaden Weekes at No. 3.
In an unfinished match, freshman Abel Forger was leading 7-5, 4-6, 2-0 against No. 55 Jack Loutit when play was halted.
