In Austin, Texas, the anticipation is palpable as the Longhorns hit the field for spring practice. With a flurry of offseason activity, Texas football has undergone a transformation that's got fans buzzing.

Head coach Steve Sarkisian is steering this revamped squad, which now boasts 43 new players. This includes 19 transfers from a top-tier portal class and 24 high school recruits from a highly-ranked recruiting class.

Sarkisian, reflecting on the team's first spring session, shared, "Our first day on the grass and you can really feel the competitive spirit internally. I think what's great is we have a lot of competitors who have the internal fire to want to do it the right way."

The Longhorns are taking a short break for spring, but they'll be back in action soon. The team is set to resume practice with a structured schedule of Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday sessions starting March 24.
